It was an early, frosty January morning, and Matthew was outside, sitting silently on his porch. He was still in pajamas, consisting of fuzzy polar bear pants and a white tee with a red maple leaf. He also had his favorite red hoodie on.
Kuma was inside, most likely still sleeping. Matthew had whipped up some pancakes, however, so the bear wouldn't bug him for food so early like he usually did. The blonde wanted a few moments of peace and quiet.

It was nearing midnight now. The floor of the ballroom was strewn with ribbons, paper and bits of food that everyone had expertly managed to spread throughout the entire space. The giant Christmas tree stood in the corner, looking bare without the huge pile of presents that had been below it before tonight. The tree and the continuing music from the square outside were the only hints that this room had hosted the world not two hours ago.

"So that concludes the world conference! Are there any final words?" Alfred asked.
Francis stood up. "We should do this again, non? It's not often we can get together."
Based on how the meeting had turned out, that didn't seem like such a good idea to anyone...well, except…
"How about at Christmas?" suggested Tino, who had been silent the entire meeting.
No one ever wanted to refuse the shortest Nordic country. Nobody spoke for a long time. Berwald decided to break the silence by saying "It's a good idea." This was followed by mumbles of agreement from everyone else.
